Attorney Doug Colt–Pro-Bono Work
Attorney Doug Colt, a top California litigator specializing in intellectual property and commercial litigation, has also done his share of pro-bono work. For nearly two years, he handled legal issues for the production of an award-winning documentary film on behalf of the American Lung Association.
The contributions of Doug Colt, including but not limited to negotiating contracts, assisting producers, and drafting legal memoranda, earned him an award of commendation from the association in 2002. Attorney Doug Colt was given credit for “Scene Smoking: Cigarettes, Cinema, & the Myth of Cool,” which included Sean Penn, Michael Crichton, and Richard Donner in the billing. Doug Colt later designed and implemented a charity car program for the American Lung Association that generated over $100,000 in proceeds for the organization.
